Privacy Policy

Overview

This policy describes what information PreceptIQ ("the app," "we") collects, how it's used, and who it's shared with. By creating an account, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

Information we collect

Account information: your email address and a display name.

Practice activity: the questions you answer, whether you got them right, and timestamps, so we can show your practice accuracy, streaks, and mistake breakdowns.

Coach conversations: with your affirmative permission before your first message, we send your messages and recent chat replies to Anthropic, our AI provider. We also send your display name, exam date, time zone, and RN/PN track, study streak, practice accuracy and missed-question counts by domain, and a saved summary of previous Coach conversations. When you ask about a completed NGN question, we also share its question, chart information available at that step, your selected responses, answer key, rationale, and saved score. Anthropic processes these to check the topic, generate replies, and update the summary. PreceptIQ stores the evolving summary, rather than the full chat transcript, for future sessions. This describes PreceptIQ storage; Anthropic processes transmitted data under its own policies. Do not include patient information or other sensitive personal details.

Subscription status: whether you have an active subscription or invite-based access, managed through the App Store, Google Play, or an invite code.

Usage analytics: PostHog receives a pseudonymous account identifier and technical app/device information to help us understand usage and diagnose problems. The identifier can be linked to your PreceptIQ account; this data is not anonymous. We do not send your email address as an analytics property, and automatic screen and interaction capture is disabled in the app.

Your AI sharing choice

Coach is optional. We ask you to agree to sharing with Anthropic before sending your first message. Canceling sends no Coach request. Your choice is saved separately for each account on this device; another account must make its own choice. You can turn off future sharing using the control in Coach. This does not undo past processing or delete your saved summary. Other study features do not require AI sharing consent.

Feedback you send

We store feedback you submit, its category, your account ID, the submission time, and the question ID when you report a question. Authorized PreceptIQ administrators can read and resolve reports to improve the app and investigate content issues. Reports are deleted when your account is deleted. Do not include patient information, passwords, or payment details.

How we use your information

To operate your account and save your practice progress across sessions.

To personalize your practice recommendations and AI coach responses based on your real performance.

To process and verify subscription payments and invite-code access.

To maintain and improve the app, including diagnosing bugs and understanding aggregate usage patterns.

We do not sell your personal information.

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of service providers to run the app, each of which processes data under its own privacy policy:

• Supabase, hosts our database and handles authentication.
• Anthropic, processes Coach messages, profile and practice context, and conversation summaries after your AI sharing consent.
• RevenueCat, manages subscription purchases and status.
• Apple App Store and Google Play, process in-app purchases directly; we never see your payment details.
• PostHog, processes pseudonymous account identifiers and app/device analytics; these are not anonymous.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your account and practice data while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account in Profile → Delete Account. This removes your PreceptIQ account and associated study data, Coach summary, and feedback. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription; manage cancellation through your store account. Service providers may retain records under their own policies and obligations; deleting your PreceptIQ account does not automatically erase every provider's records. Children's privacy

This app is intended for nursing students preparing for a licensing exam and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Contact us at the email below to exercise these rights.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and row-level database access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
