PreceptIQ vs UWorld for NCLEX study: how the two differ
UWorld is a large, established NCLEX question bank. PreceptIQ is a smaller study app built around your weak areas. Every UWorld detail here comes from UWorld's own NCLEX pages as they read on 5 November 2026.

The short answer: PreceptIQ vs UWorld
UWorld's library is much larger. Its NCLEX-RN page lists 3,100+ questions, including 600+ NGN (Next Generation NCLEX) questions, and its NCLEX-PN page lists 2,000+. PreceptIQ launches on January 5, 2027 with 200 practice questions for each track.
The two are built for different jobs. UWorld gives you a large bank with performance reports and self-assessments. PreceptIQ gives you a smaller set that keeps your misses, your accuracy by content area and an AI study coach in one place.

How each one targets weak areas
UWorld
UWorld's NCLEX pages describe detailed performance reports that break your results down by subject and by system. They say you can create custom practice tests to pinpoint your weaknesses. They also list up to six self-assessments, which UWorld describes as giving a statistically validated prediction of your readiness, and adaptive (CAT) practice tests.
PreceptIQ
PreceptIQ shows your accuracy in each content area and brings missed questions back for review. Every question has a rationale. Its AI study coach reads your missed-question history and your accuracy by content area, so a conversation starts from your own results. PreceptIQ's accuracy view is meant to show what to study next, not to predict whether you will pass.
Which one fits how you study
- A large question bank: Suits you if you want to see as many questions as possible before test day and are comfortable building your own review from the reports.
- A smaller, guided set: Suits you if you study in short gaps and want the app to keep track of what you missed and which content areas are weakest.
- Either way: Start from the official weights. The 2026 NCLEX-RN test plan and the NCLEX-PN test plan show how much of the exam each content area gets, and our study plan template turns that into a weekly schedule.
How we checked this page
We read UWorld's NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN pages on 5 November 2026 and used only what they state. Question counts and features change, so check UWorld's own site before you buy. PreceptIQ details come from our own product pages.

Why is there no price comparison?
PreceptIQ hasn't announced its price yet, and plan prices and discounts change often. Rather than show a figure that may be out of date, we left prices off. Check UWorld's own site for its current plans.
Can I use PreceptIQ and UWorld together?
Yes. They are separate products, and some students pair a large question bank with a tool for reviewing their misses. Whichever you use, plan your time against the 2026 test plan for your exam.
