UWorld alternatives for NCLEX study: PreceptIQ, Archer, Kaplan and Bootcamp
Five NCLEX prep options side by side, using only what each company says on its own site as of 5 November 2026.

The short answer: UWorld alternatives for the NCLEX
The main alternatives differ more in how they help with weak areas than in what they cover. Archer Review lists a 3,100+ question NCLEX-RN bank with customized tests and pass prediction. Kaplan lists a 2,200+ question Qbank with performance analytics and an AI Tutor. Bootcamp lists 2,800+ NCLEX questions with a tagging system for review.
PreceptIQ launches on January 5, 2027 with 200 questions per track and an AI study coach that works from your misses.

NCLEX-PN options
For the NCLEX-PN, UWorld lists 2,000+ questions, including 300+ NGN, and Archer Review lists a 1,600+ question NGN bank. Kaplan's NCLEX page lists NCLEX-PN prep, but we didn't check its PN question count. We couldn't confirm a separate NCLEX-PN product on Bootcamp's NCLEX page. PreceptIQ has 200 NCLEX-PN questions at launch, kept separate from its RN questions.
UWorld, Archer Review and Bootcamp list iOS and Android apps, and PreceptIQ runs on web, iOS and Android. We couldn't confirm Kaplan's platforms from its NCLEX page, so check its site if you need an app.
How to choose
- Start with your exam: Make sure the product has a bank for your exam, RN or PN. The 2026 test plans weight the content areas differently for each; see the NCLEX-RN test plan and the NCLEX-PN test plan.
- Match the bank to your time: A bigger bank gives you more to work through; a smaller one is quicker to finish and review. Your timeline matters more than the count, so read how long to study for the NCLEX first.
- Look at what happens after a miss: Weak areas improve when you can see accuracy by content area and redo what you got wrong. Check how each product reports your results and how easy it is to return to missed questions.
- Try before you pay where you can: Some of these companies offer a free trial or a demo on their site. Check the terms there.
- Check the price on the day: We left prices off this page because plans and discounts change often and PreceptIQ hasn't announced its price yet.
How we checked this page
We read each company's own NCLEX pages on 5 November 2026 and used only what they state. Where a page didn't make something clear, we left it out. Question counts and features change, so check each site before you buy. PreceptIQ details come from our own product pages.
